Our current view out the back window. The Corpus Christi Bay is a haven for Great
Blue Herons, White Ibis, Laughing Gulls and many more species of birds.
We toured the USS Lexington Monday with Marty, a 2007 Classmate. Awesome "boat"
with so much history and so important to our nation in WWII.

  3. Have really enjoyed NAS (Naval Air Station) FamCamp in Corpus Christi, it's been a great home base as we checked out this area. Yesterday we stopped at Goose Island and picked up Marty on our way to the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. Had a good day looking for birds and watching out for the alligators. Tomorrow we go to Canyon Lake, staying at the military rec site there for 3 nights before we head to Livingston. Definitely want to come back to south Texas!
